I live in Perth, Western Australia, where I was born and raised. My fascination with music began at the age of five thanks to my absolute favourite toy: a little red keyboard that played my favourite tune, 'Camptown Races'. I am a classically trained pianist, a contemporary-trained singer, and I've dabbled in a few other instrumental pursuits. I studied Composition at the University of Western Australia under Dr. Chris Tonkin and James Ledger. After graduating in 2011, I received the Dr. Harold Schenberg Prize for Music Composition which enabled me to travel to New York City for three months in 2012. There I had the amazing opportunities to study with composer Joan La Barbara and to take part in a workshop run by Meredith Monk's vocal ensemble.

These days, I work as a music tutor and have several exciting, varied music projects going on at any one time! I sing, teach, and arrange for Menagerie Choir; I play in my own chamber-pop band (The Tiffany Ha Trio); I run an Instagram 'Guess The Song' competition featuring my own piano covers, and most enjoyably, I write music for myself and for others.

My influences are deep and varied. Throughout my training, I have developed a love of Beethoven (particularly his late string quartets), Bartók, Schumann, Scriabin, and the keyboard works of J.S. Bach. Discovering Joni Mitchell led me towards the wonderful music of the late 60s and 70s. Growing up, I took in all the music around me: I watched both Video Hits and Rage religiously; I was inspired by the music of the Japanese RPGs I played, by film scores, jazz records, even call-waiting music.
